Keratin Smoothing Treatments are a special treatment using Keratin proteins that coats the sub-cuticle (outer layer) of the hair to provide a smoothing effect that reduces frizz, elongates curl patterns, alleviates tangles, helps to slow split ends, adds shines, improve moisture retention and aids in humidity resistance. Not all Smoothing treatment use Keratin protein but may use protein from other sources.
